As the Rio Olympics came to an end, the attention is diverted to the site of the next summer games: Tokyo, Japan. Fairchild Television was invited by the Japan's National Tourism Organization and Air Canada to shoot two travelogues, including 《The North of Sakura Country》and《Niche Tokyo》. Aside from introducing different tourist hot spots, we have also visited historical landmarks, and experienced Japanese culture from a different perspective.

Hokkaido Shinkansen was launched this year on March 26. Riding on a bullet train through the Seikan Tunnels, which connects the Honshu Hokuriku region to southern Hokkaido, has now become one of the world’s most anticipated activity. The destinations visited are rich in culture and steeped in history. Some of the sites visited include: Hakodate, which is elected for the world’s top three most beautiful night view destination; a World Natural Heritage sites, Shirakami-Sanchi; Oirase, which is known for its natural outdoor hot spring; the famous Aomori apple and the Nebuta Festival, which is one of the top three festivals in Northeast of Japan. Starting from September 14, this 7-episode travelogue《The North of Sakura Country》 will show you an extraordinary side of Northern Japan.
