Fairchild Television and Fairchild Radio FM96.1 Proudly Present: Afterpiece

Afterpiece is produced by Derek Yee, written and directed by Keane Wong, stars Stephen Fung, Myolie Wu, Angela Yuen and Chrissie Chau. The story follows Owen, a once-acclaimed theatre director who has spent more than a decade struggling with a creative slump, while both his career and marriage reach a crossroads. Determined to reclaim his former glory, he takes a final gamble by writing, directing and starring in a new stage production. However, unexpected encounters soon send his carefully laid plans off course.
As rehearsals unfold, the boundaries between the stage and real life begin to blur, intertwining love, marriage, desire and artistic ambition. Blending absurdist humour with emotional conflict through a play-within-a-film structure, Afterpiece takes audiences on a journey where performance and reality become increasingly difficult to distinguish.

Talentvision and Fairchild Radio FM96.1 Specially Recommends: Light Pillar

"Light Pillar", written and directed by Xu Zao and featuring the voices of Da Peng and Qing Yi, is an animated comedy film. Set in a fading film studio complex, the story follows Lao Cha, a lonely cleaner whose days are filled with the same dull routine. A chance encounter with a pair of virtual reality glasses transports him into an entirely different world, where a virtual romance offers him the comfort and companionship missing from his real life.

However, as the boundaries between the virtual world and reality begin to blur, his seemingly perfect fantasy starts to take an unexpected turn. Blending animation with live-action footage, "Light Pillar" uses absurdist humour to explore the collision between loneliness, fantasy and reality, while reflecting on our growing distance from the real world in an increasingly technology-driven age.
